July 2026, Release Notes
Features
Email-first login flow for vendors
Audience: Vendor Admin, District Admin (partially)
You can now sign in to Connect with your email address first. After the email is provided, the platform automatically identifies the user's organization and displays the authentication methods configured for that organization, including password-based login and available Single Sign-On (SSO) options.
This update streamlines authentication, reduces login errors caused by incorrect organization selection, and replaces multiple legacy login entry points (e.g., Sign in as Vendor) with a single unified login flow.
Support attendance and transportation import
Audience: District Admin
SchoolDay now supports Attendance and Transportation data, in addition to rostering. Admins can connect a wider range of apps — including student safety, communication, and analytics tools — without manually entering or transferring records.
Ed-Fi integration support
Audience: District Admin
SchoolDay now integrates with Ed-Fi, enabling districts to sync student, staff, and academic data via the Ed-Fi ODS and APIs. This standards-based approach enhances interoperability and eliminates the need for custom or vendor-specific integrations.
Updates
PowerSchool plugin-only mode
Audience: District Admin
SchoolDay now supports importing all PowerSchool data exclusively through the PowerSchool plugin. Through the use of controlled PowerQuery endpoints, districts can grant SchoolDay precise access to only the necessary roster data. See Manage the PowerSchool Plugin
