Set up Privacy Governance Console
Activate PGC in SchoolDay Connect and configure your district's data-sharing settings.

Privacy Governance Console (PGC) includes AI privacy policy reviews, PII usage analysis, and compliance reporting. Activation takes approximately 5–10 minutes. After completing this task, deploy the browser extension before PGC can start collecting usage data.
Requirements
- Primary District Admin permissions in SchoolDay.
- Complete the PGC requirements checklist before starting.
Procedure
- Go to SchoolDay.
- Go to Connect > Application Gallery.
- Type "Privacy Governance Console" in the search box and select it from the results panel.
- Click Activate.
- In Schools, choose which schools you want to share with Privacy Governance Console.
- In the Privacy Shield, turn on its toggle.
- (Optional) In the Attributes, uncheck attributes you do not want to share.
- (Optional) In the Filter Rules, add filters.
- In the Expiration Time, specify the duration for which your data will be available for the application.
- Accept the Terms of Use and/or Privacy Policy.
- Click Activate.
- Wait a few seconds for the app configuration to apply and the roster import, after which you will be redirected to the Privacy Governance Console application dashboard.
Verify the setup
After activation, confirm the following:
- The PGC dashboard loads without errors.
- Your rostered schools appear in the dashboard's school filter.
- The Privacy Shield status shows as enabled in PGC settings.
