Instructions to map Learning Programs

To add a new Coursera learning program to your LMS integration, it must first be enabled within the SchoolDay platform. Please follow the steps below to add the program to both Coursera and your LMS applications.

Mapping a Learning Program in the Coursera App

After opening the Connect module, select the Coursera app:

Click the gear icon in the upper-right corner to access the settings menu:

Within the Schools Mapping tab, there are 3 sections:

  • All (all available learning programs under your Coursera instance),
  • Existing (the programs that are already mapped/active in your LMS),
  • Missing (programs that are not currently mapped/active in your LMS).

Please note that if there are many programs created under your Coursera instance, the Schools Mapping Tab may take a while to load, which is an expected behaviour.

In the search bar, type the name of the program you want to activate. Then, click the toggle labeled "Create New SchoolDay School" next to the program and hit the Save button located in the bottom right corner.

Mapping a Learning Program in the LMS Export App

Next, navigate to the Blackboard Export app >> click the gear icon in the upper right corner and go to the Schools tab. In the Schools tab, please check the checkbox for the same program(s) previously activated on the Coursera app and hit Save. This step is necessary so that the program is visible via LTI and all grades can be transferred to the LMS gradebook.

Once this is done, please navigate to the Coursera app and click Run Import. When the import completes, the new program (s) will become available via LTI in your LMS.

Finally, return to your LMS and follow your usual steps for publishing content. The newly added learning program(s) should now appear in the content selection window.
