June, 2025 Release Notes
Features
Mandatory multi-factor authentication for administrators
Audience: District Admin, Vendor Admin
Administrators are required to enable and complete multi-factor authentication (MFA) before accessing SchoolDay. Starting June 30, MFA enforcement will apply to all admin accounts. This improves security by ensuring only verified admins can access sensitive areas. SchoolDay recommends enabling MFA early to avoid access issues. See Set up multi-factor authentication.
Updates
Stronger protection against security and operational risks
Audience: All
SchoolDay now prevents actions that could cause security or operational issues. This improves system security and reliability.
Improved handling of reactivated user accounts
Audience: District Admin
When a user is removed from a district data source and later reactivated, SchoolDay now keeps their original data and correctly merges it with the reactivated account. This update prevents import errors and duplicates. It also prevents broken accounts.
Improved handling of inactive data
Audience: District Admin
SchoolDay now ensures inactive classes and enrollments are excluded from vendor data. This helps maintain accurate data and reduces errors.
Improved handling of security risks
Audience: All
SchoolDay now detects and removes security risks more effectively. This improves overall system safety and reliability.
Added support for excluding inactive categories from PowerSchool
Audience: District Admin
SchoolDay now supports skipping inactive categories when importing data from the PowerSchool 2-way Sync application. This ensures only relevant data is imported. To activate this feature, email support@schoolday.com.
