Google Classroom is a powerful and easy-to-use Learning platform that works with many other third-party apps and services to make digital education easier, more affordable, and accessible for teachers, students, guardians, and admins alike.

Requirements
- A District Admin account in SchoolDay with Primary permissions.
- An active Google Classroom account with access to the class shells/courses and users (students/teachers).
Add Google Classroom from the gallery
To create the integration of Google Classroom into SchoolDay, add the Google Classroom app from the Application Gallery to your list of managed apps.
- Sign in to SchoolDay.
- Go to the Connect > Application Gallery.
- In the Filters section, type "Google Classroom" in the search box and select Google Classroom from the results panel. Alternatively, you can directly access the link.
- Click Activate. Wait a few seconds while the app is added to your environment.
Configure Google Classroom
Once Google Classroom app is activated, follow these steps to configure it in SchoolDay:

In the Sync Mode:

(Recommended) Select 2-way Sync to provide changes in both directions. That applies to create, edit, and delete operations. For example, if the teacher pushes a newly created assignment from SIS to SchoolDay, it will automatically be reflected in their Google Classroom account, and vice versa.

Select Import to bring data from Google Classroom to SchoolDay. With this mode, Google Classroom is used as a data source for SchoolDay.
- Select Export to send data from SchoolDay to Google Classroom. With this mode, SchoolDay is used as the source for Google Classroom.

- In the Delivery Config, click Authorization Access, and select the Google account that you have associated with your Google Classroom account as a teacher or admin. Finally, grant all permissions that SchoolDay requires access to.
- (Optional) Check Role Assignment by Email (Export Only). If selected, assigns roster users as either Students or Teachers based on their Google email address. For example, john.doe@student.school.com is assigned the "Student" role.
- Click Next.
- In the Schools Mapping, choose the SchoolDay school (class shells) to which your Google Classroom class will be mapped. Click Next.
- In the Attributes Mapping step, complete configuring by clicking Finish Configuration on the top right or continue to configure further settings.
Sync data with Google Classroom
Once the Google Classroom integration is set up, you can run a sync with Google Classroom at any time.
We recommend running a sync if you have new or updated data in Google Classroom for SchoolDay.
To run a sync with Google Classroom, go to the Google Classroom app in SchoolDay and click Run Sync.
