The dashboard is the first page you see after signing in to the Privacy Governance Console (PGC). It gives you a district-wide overview of application usage and privacy risk so you can prioritize which apps to review.
Before you begin
- Primary District Admin permissions in SchoolDay.
- PGC must be activated in SchoolDay Connect. See Set up Privacy Governance Console.
- The browser extension must be deployed to student and staff devices. Dashboard data will be empty until the extension is active and usage has been collected. See Install and deploy the PGC browser extension.
Access the dashboard
Go to Privacy Governance Console. The dashboard opens by default.

PII statistics section
The PII Statistics section shows five data tiles summarizing PII exposure and vetting status across all rostered schools and users:

Click any tile to open a filtered list of applications relevant to that metric. This lets you move from a high-level signal directly to the applications that need attention.
Trend charts
Below the PII Statistics tiles, the dashboard shows three charts that track application risk and usage over time.

What to do from the dashboard
The dashboard is a starting point, not a workflow. Common next actions:
- Click a PII risk tile to see which apps are contributing to that risk.
- Review the High Usage At Risk Apps chart to prioritize apps with the largest student/staff exposure.
- Check the PII Usage Overview trend to confirm anonymization efforts are reducing risk district-wide.
- Go to Applications to search, filter, and manage individual apps.
- Click Review Requested in the Applications view to see pending teacher approval requests.
- Go to Reports > District Application Report to export a full snapshot for your records.
