April 2026, Release Notes
Features
Metadata sub-attribute filtering for data integrations
Audience: District Admin
Metadata sub-attribute filtering is now available for import and export integrations, giving admins precise control over what data is shared with external applications and vendors. Previously, metadata fields containing multiple sub-values couldn't be used for filtering directly, limiting how accurately data could be scoped. See Configure filter rules for vendor data export applications

Email fallback for MFA code delivery
Audience: Vendor Admin
When SMS delivery is delayed or fails, SchoolDay now automatically sends a verification code to the user's email instead. The fallback triggers after 1 minute, so users can always complete login even when SMS is unavailable. See Set up MFA for your Vendor account.
Updates
Enhanced data access event management
Audience: Vendor Admin
Vendor Admins can now control which data access events are generated across applications and integrations, completing full event management coverage for all SchoolDay connections. Previously available only in select contexts, this control now extends across every application and integration in your account. See Turn off data access events for your application.
Improved course ownership handling for Google Classroom
Audience: District Admin
When the admin is changed in SchoolDay, the system now checks whether the new admin already has teacher permissions in previously exported Google Classroom courses. If not, the admin is automatically enrolled before applying updates. Previously, a missing teacher role on those courses could block further updates. This ensures course management and data sync continue without interruption.
Updated Customer Portal experience
Audience: All
The Customer Portal has been refreshed with a modernized design, improved search, sorting, filtering, and full conversation visibility. See Customer Portal.
