Accessing Coursera directly through your IDP

Adding an IdP solution alongside an LTI integration can benefit the organization that desires to have an alternative way of accessing Coursera

To have access to Coursera through your institution’s IdP, students should be manually invited to the needed program by their instructors through the Coursera admin portal. 



Upon receiving the invitation link, users should use the “Log in with [Name of your University]” button: 



Once it is done, users are redirected to their IdP login page (if they do not have an active session within it): 



After a successful login, students are redirected back to the specific Coursera Learning Program homepage, where they can navigate through the course contents if they are invited: 

Please note: if users use both LTI and IDP SSO, the first SSO attempt should be made through their LMS to ensure that both SSO types work as expected.
